Hi, I’m Courtney, the heart and hands behind Time Traveler Tintype. I’ve been in love with wet plate photography since 2020. There is something magical about the process, hands-on, alive, and unpredictable. Every photo is completely one of a kind, and it feels like the art itself takes on a life of its own.

 

I’m currently and proudly an Artist in Residence at the Byrdcliffe Artist Colony in Woodstock, NY. My favorite part of the process is creating wet plate magic with others. Each photograph is unique—a permanent record of a moment, of a person, preserved in time.

 

As one of the few stewards of this rare process, I’m honored to create lasting heirlooms—photographs that capture a moment and can be treasured for generations.
